13.09.2024 • Dr. Rouben Azizian

On September 13 th , the Diplomatic School hosted Dr. Rouben Azizian, professor and former Director at Massey University’s Centre for Defence and Security Studies, Chair of the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA), Editor-in-Chief of the National Security Journal and member of editorial boards of various international academic journals. Speaking to diplomats and students of the Diplomatic School, Dr. Azizian presented the geopolitics and regional security architecture in the Asia-Pacific, spoke about the role and challenges of small nations and answered questions from the audience.

11.09.2024 • Ambassador Walid Haggag, Director of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of Egypt

On September 11 th , within the framework of signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Ambassador Walid Haggag, Director of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies, met with students of the Diplomatic School. Ambassador Haggag spoke about Egypt’s foreign policy priorities and challenges, regional cooperation, as well as about the characteristics of diplomatic training in the contemporary world and answered questions raised by the students. The Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia, H.E. Mrs. Serenade Mohamed Soliman Gamil was also present at the talk.

17.06.2024 • Tanya Mihaylova, Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute

On June 17th, within the framework of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Mrs. Tanya Mihaylova, Director of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, met with students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats of the Foreign Ministry. Mrs. Mihaylova spoke about the activities of the Diplomatic Institute, dwelled on the challenges of the region and answered questions raised by the audience.

02.04.2024 • Samir Saran, President of the Indian Observer Research Foundation

On April 2nd, Samir Saran, President of the Indian Observer Research Foundation (ORF) and Curator of the Raisina Dialogue, India’s flagship platform on geopolitics and geo-economics, delivered a lecture on "World order: a view from India" for the students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats from different departments of the MFA of Armenia. The speaker touched upon issues related to the current changing world order and new challenges of diplomacy.

21.03.2024 • Ekke Nõmm, Director of the Estonian School of Diplomacy

On March 21 st , within the framework of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Estonian School of Diplomacy, Mr. Ekke N õ mm, Director of the Estonian School of Diplomacy, met with students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. Mr. N õ mm spoke about the activities of the Estonian School of Diplomacy and the priorities of Estonia’s foreign policy.

07.03.2024 • Ambassador Imad Moustapha, Director of the Diplomatic Institute of Syria

On March 7 th , within the framework of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Diplomatic Institute of Syria, Ambassador Imad Moustapha, Director of the Diplomatic Institute of Syria, delivered a lecture on the current situation in the Middle East for students of the Diplomatic School of Armenia, Armenian diplomats and junior diplomats from Syria, who are attending a training programme organized by the Diplomatic School.

19.01.2024 • NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Javier Colomina

On January 19th, the Diplomatic School hosted   Mr. Javier Colomina, the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.    Speaking to diplomats and the students of the Diplomatic School, Javier Colomina presented the challenges that NATO faces today, the activities of NATO in the region, the cooperation with Armenia and answered the questions of the audience.

18.07.2023 • Rouben Galichian, Historical Maps Researcher

On July 18th, Rouben Galichian, an expert on historical maps of Armenia and the region, Honorary Doctor of the Academy of Science of Armenia, delivered a lecture on “Armenia’s borders in maps” at the Diplomatic School. Talking to an audience comprising of the students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats from different departments of the MFA of Armenia, R. Galichian presented the inclusion of Armenia in the historical maps known to the world for the period from the 6th century BC to the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. A lively question and answer session followed the talk.

14.07.2023 • Ambassador of Germany Viktor Richter

On July 14th, the Diplomatic School hosted the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Mr. Viktor Richter. Ambassador Richter introduced the priorities of Germany’s foreign policy, spoke about the bilateral relations with Armenia and answered questions raised by the students.

13.07.2023 • Ambassador of the USA Kristina Kvien

On July 13th, the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mrs. Kristina Kvien met with the students of the Diplomatic School. Ambassador Kvien spoke about the priorities of USA’s foreign policy, its bilateral relations with Armenia and the prospects for their development. A question and answer session followed the meeting.
