From 1 to 13 March 2024, the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia held a programme of training for junior diplomats from the Syrian Arab Republic. The programme aimed at deepening of the participants’ knowledge in the field of international relations and diplomacy and in regional issues, as well as imparting a better understanding of Armenia and her foreign policy.

A cultural programme, comprising of visits to the Mother See of Holy Echmiatsin, Matenadaran, the Memorial Complex of the Armenian Genocide, among others, complimented the Study visit.

At the completion of the visit, the Director of the Diplomatic School, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, and the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Armenia, Nora Arissian, handed certificates of participation to the Syrian diplomats. Ambassador Gabrielyan congratulated the participants and expressed the hope that the programme would contribute to further deepening of relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Syrian Arab Republic. Ambassador Nora Arissian expressed her readiness to promote cooperation between the two institutions of diplomatic training.
