On September 18th, a meeting was held between Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia and Mrs. Liliana Popescu-Bîrlan, Director-General of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute.

The directors discussed issues related to the development of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. Mr. Ara Margarian, Head of the European Department of the MFA of Armenia and H.E. Mr. Cornel Ionescu, Ambassador of Romania in Armenia also participated in the meeting.

After the meeting, a ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Romanian Diplomatic Institute took place.

A meeting of Mrs. Popescu-Bîrlan with the students of the Diplomatic School and diplomats followed the signing of the memorandum.

Within the framework of the visit of the Director-General of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, visits to Matenadaran – Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute were organized.
